PANORAMA ANTENNAS APPOINTS BRIGHTSTAR TO SUPPORT DISTRIBUTION IN AUSTRALIA

MELBOURNE — 6 September, 2005 — Panorama Antennas, a leading manufacturer of mobile antennas and Brightstar Logistics, the Australia subsidiary of Brightstar Corp., announce a signed agreement for Brightstar to provide distribution for Panorama products in Australia. Under this agreement, Brightstar will promote and sell the complete range of Panorama CDMA, GSM, GPS, 3G and Wireless LAN antennas.

A pioneer in the industry as the first organization to design and produce mobile antennas for the launch of the UK 900MHz cellular network in 1985, Panorama Antennas continues to lead the industry, adding many revolutionizing patents to its portfolio.

Brightstar will initially provide customers with three products from the Panorama Antennas mobile range. First, a completely internal glass mount antenna supporting CDMA, GSM900/1800/19000 and 3G technologies. The “strip” antenna is 13 cm long, 1.7 cm wide and only ½ cm thick, making it incredibly discrete for a product with true multi-band capabilities. The other two initial products Brightstar will add to its product offering are external glass mount “dual whip” packs—the first suited for GSM and the other for CDMA.

“Panorama Antennas will extend our portfolio to offer our customers a full range of innovative wireless products,” said Dean Verberne, General Manager Brightstar Logistics.

In the near future, Brightstar will also support the introduction of a range of global positioning (GPS) and wireless LAN antennas from Panorama. Additionally, multiple function antennas will be launched—products that combine two and three functions such as the GSM/GPS external glass mount antenna, GSM/Wireless LAN indoor antenna and the external panel mount GSM/GPS and AM/FM antenna.

Panorama Antennas has been represented in Australia since 1997, gradually developing into one of the most recognized premium antenna brands in the country. A regional office was established in Melbourne 15 months ago to provide local product knowledge, technical support and to further develop regional business.

“We are delighted to expand our distribution in Australia through our new partner Brightstar Logistics. Brightstar’s national footprint in addition to its relationships with key players within the mobile
space will complement our growing brand and provide a new uncomplicated avenue to our product range,” said Steven Stephanides, Panorama Antennas Ltd. – Australia.

With 29 facilities in 21 countries, Brightstar is one of the wireless industry’s leading global value-add supply chain management and distribution service providers. Founded in 1997, the company serves more than 160 network operators and 15,000 resellers, retailers and agents. In 2004, Brightstar continued its steady growth and posted revenues exceeding US$1.75 billion.

About Panorama Antennas Australia
Panorama Antennas has become best known as the company that pioneered the construction of mobile and portable antennas using ‘insert-injection’ plastic moulding technology. Today, brothers Andrew and Christopher Jesman own and run Panorama Antennas, which their father, Leon Jesman and his partners founded in 1947. In 1984 Panorama was the first organization to design and produce mobile antennas ready for the launch of the UK 900MHz cellular network on 1 January 1985. This head start in cellular antenna design enabled the company to make early contributions in the new mobile telecommunications industry. In 1989 Panorama became the first European company to achieve ISO 9002 accreditation for antenna manufacture. World wide glass mount antenna design leapt ahead when, on 9th April 1990, Andrew and Christopher Jesman filed a patent application for the first ever solid state coupling circuit. Panorama’s new glass mount was the first antenna to use a printed circuit board (PCB) in the coupling box. This patented design revolutionized glass mount antenna technology and set new standards for reliability and quality. Today all manufacturers of cellular glass mount antennas have followed Panorama’s lead in solid state coupling technology. Looking forward, Panorama Antennas continues to be an originator and significant manufacturer of antennas for leading telecommunications companies around the world.
