Denise Gibson, Chief Operating Officer of Brightstar Recognized as a 2011 Channel Chief by Everything Channel’s CRN

Miami, Fla., February 21, 2011 − Brightstar, a global leader in services and solutions for the wireless industry, today announced that Denise Gibson, Chief Operating Officer, Brightstar U.S. & Canada, has been named a 2011 Channel Chief by the Everything Channel’s CRN. Channel Chiefs are leaders in creating effective channel programs for solution providers. They consistently defend, promote and execute effective channel partner programs and strategies.

Gibson was selected to be a CRN Channel Chief for increasing Brightstar’s relationships with its partners through a number of new initiatives including: Automated operations and delivery using the only robotic serial-on-demand technology in the wireless industry, customer portal upgrades enabling better communication with partners and more efficient ordering and tracking processes as well as a virtual inventory program that offers a virtually limitless assortment of mobile devices and emerging products without the costs of owning and managing the inventory.

Gibson joined Brightstar as President & Chief Operating Officer in 2001 and launched the company’s U.S. operations in Chicago. She has been instrumental in growing the company’s regional strategic relationships with manufacturers, operators, retailers and enterprise partners. Gibson currently sits on the executive board of the Consumer Electronics Association.
