BRIGHTSTAR EUROPE COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION COMPANY

Acceleration of pan-European growth strategy continues, giving more customers access to broader product portfolio and extensive resources

Naarden – 1st October 2010 – Brightstar Europe, a joint venture between Brightstar Corp. and Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ GS: TECD) has completed its acquisition of Mobile Communication Company (MCC) in the Netherlands and Belgium. The acquisition of MCC is part of a separate acquisition by Tech Data Corporation of Triade Group, which has completed its acquisition of Triade Holdings. Both agreements were initially announced August 3, 2010.

MCC is a major supplier of mobile telephony and personal navigationjavascript:nullo(); devices, smartphones, mobile devices and related accessories to retail channels, telecommunications dealers and consumer electronics stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. The company has an impressive portfolio of major vendors, including Gigaset, HTC, LG, Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson and TomTom, in both countries. It will now have access to the leading portable PC brands through Tech Data to provide an even broader portfolio of products to mobility resellers.
