BRIGHTSTAR CORPORATION NAMED TO TOP 200 BY FLORIDA TREND MAGAZINE

MIAMI – September 3, 2003 – Brightstar Corporation was listed as the 13th largest privately held business in Florida in the August edition of Florida Trend magazine. The listing was based on annual revenues.

Brightstar has received several honors in the recent past for its fast growth and financial strength including listing as the second largest Hispanic-owned company in the US in Hispanic Business magazine and continued recognition as one of the fastest growing Hispanic owned businesses in the nation.

Brightstar recently announcement that it achieved $1 billion in revenues in the 12 months of operation from May 2002 – June 2003. Brightstar is one of only three Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States to achieve this milestone.

Additionally, an August announcement showed the company became the largest value added distributor for the wireless industry in the Americas based on first half 2003 financial results.
