BRIGHTSTAR ANNOUNCES 2006 REVENUES OF $3.5 BILLION

Increase of 56% Over $2.2 Billion in 2005

BARCELONA – February 14, 2007 – For the ninth year in a row, Brightstar Corp., the largest wireless distribution and supply chain solutions company in the world, increased year over year revenues by more than 50%, ending 2006 with over $3.5 billion in revenues. In 2005, revenues were $2.2 billion.

The company reached this milestone after only 9 years of operations.

Since its founding in 1997, Brightstar has grown exponentially in revenues, infrastructure and customers served. Today, Brightstar operates sales and distribution facilities in 49 countries on six continents and delivers wireless products to over 160,000 points of sale worldwide.

The company recently announced plans for a joint venture with Tech Data, the largest IT distributor in Europe, to form Brightstar Europe. With the addition of the European region, Brightstar operations will span North America, Latin America, Southeast Asia, Australia, Middle East & Africa and Europe.

According to R. Marcelo Claure, president & CEO of Brightstar, said, “We are entering 2007 after another record year. Our expanded geographic reach, supply chain contracts with leading network operators and the addition of several important manufacturer relationships all contributed to this growth in 2006.”
