Brightstar supports education and builds future leaders through a number of unique programs and partnerships. For instance, Brightstar is a member of the Latin America Board of Georgetown University which is focused on creating Latin America’s next group of leaders via an intensive executive program that mixes political, social and educational components for a select group of high potential students. Brightstar’s membership on the board and creation of fully paid scholarships to deserving students is already seeing results. One of the students sponsored by Brightstar has gone on to create an organization called Funbolider which focuses on identifying and educating students in Bolivia for future leadership opportunities in the country and the region. Additionally, Brightstar sponsors young up-and-coming college interns from Latin America to come and learn the company’s operations and the industry. These internships have led to permanent and significant positions within Brightstar.
