Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith became our Senior Vice President and General Counsel in July 2011. Ms. Smith has over twenty years of legal experience, much of it within the wireless industry. She served most recently as Vice President and Lead Counsel for Motorola, Inc. and Motorola Mobility from May 2008 to July 2011, where she contributed most recently to the separation of Motorola, Inc. into two independently, publicly traded companies. Ms. Smith was also responsible for global coordination of strategic partnerships. Ms. Smith served as Lead Counsel for Motorola’s Worldwide Sales Organization, Mobile Devices Business from March 2005 to May 2008. Ms. Smith holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
